The Dachshund breed is famous for being bold, ever-alert and cheerful personalities. Dachshund come in two different sizes: Standard-size (usually 16 to 32 pounds) or miniature (11 pounds and under). Our family dachshunds are miniature. Dachshunds hair styles can vary as well. They can have three types of coats: smooth, wirehaired or longhaired. Dachshunds aren’t built for long runs or strenuous swimming, but they are tireless hounds who are game for anything they owner is into. Smart, loyal, and lovey-dovey with the family, Dachshunds have been winning the hearts of families all over the world.
